When it gets down to it, there are basically 7 reasons that people will actually buy something. Here’s a quick list of some things I’ve learned to keep in mind while you’re writing sales copy.
Save Money. Heck yes, I would buy something if it saved me some cash.
Make Money. Absolutely, if I knew that something would make me some money I wouldn’t hesitate to pull the trigger and have it for my very own.
Save Time. There’s only so much of it. We could all use a little more time right?
Save Effort. My son is the poster boy, he looks for the easiest way out of everything. I wonder where he gets it?
Improve Health. Who wouldn’t want to jump higher, run faster, live longer, and love better.
Increase Pleasure. No brainer.
Eliminate Pain. Nazereth said it best, “Love Hurts”. People will buy anything to make the pain go away.
If you can incorporate these 7 reasons into your marketing, your conversions will go through the roof, guaranteed. When I first implemented this information I became a better writer almost overnight so I know they work. If you go back to some of my first articles it’s very evident when I made the change. They are pretty awful, but that’s all part of the game folks.
P.S. I got this little nugget from a Mike Dillard course I bought called The Copywriters Guild and it really opened my eyes to a lot of the things I was doing wrong. There’s a ton of value there for little investment.
