When I first started internet marketing, I felt like I was missing something. Maybe my upline was keeping secrets from me. It was kind of pissing me off.
How was I supposed to make any money if they didn’t tell me their internet marketing secrets?!?!?!
At least that’s how I felt.
The sad truth is that a lot of other people feel that way too. Maybe you got in behind some leader that’s too big for his britches like I did. Those guys are trying to automate as much as possible in their businesses, so getting time with them to set you straight when things are going sour is tough.
I know I was there.
It literally took me years to find some things out, and I was plugged in every day. I listened to the training calls, I attended live events, I aligned myself with the best. But it still didn’t expose any crazy internet marketing secret that was going to explode my business.
It wasn’t until I aligned myself with someone who was using the exact strategy I wanted to, (and was getting results) that something finally clicked.
So the big internet marketing secret that I was missing….
Was that maybe I wasn’t ready to hear that specific information yet. It very well could have been in front of me the whole time, but I might have been too stubborn to see it.
The point is, is that you have to be open to hearing all sorts of angles and opinions. Lot’s of marketing strategies may not work that well for you and that’s okay. If you are drawn to a specific marketing strategy, then go for it. Don’t get bogged down with things you don’t understand yet.
Learn what you want to learn and master it.
It doesn’t make any sense to try and learn everything at once. Sure a lot of folks seem like they bust into this industry and become overnight success stories. But the truth is, is that they’ve all probably paid their dues. If you do a little research, I promise that you will find that they struggled just as much or maybe more than you.
So don’t get discouraged. Stay consistent and reach out to other leaders, you never know what kind of AHA moments you’ll have when you’re focused on the right things instead of what you think you are missing.
